Niki's Legacy
Once in a lifetime, if you're lucky (as I was), you’ll meet someone who’ll show you that the world is not what you think it is. You won’t be given empty phrases, repetitious dogma or unsupported faith-based explanations that defy common sense. The person who shows you these things does so not by telling you, or by merely talking about them, or by trying to teach, but through demonstration. The person actually does, in real life, the things you're being told.
There is no need to wonder whether what you see is true. The reality unfolds before your eyes. “Belief” becomes irrelevant because it is Truth. The person lives the reality - and you're privileged to be a part of it.
Niki was such a person.
It's probably a waste of time to explain to someone who has not experienced it what it means to stand next to someone you love and watch that person do incredible, inexplicable things. I've lost track of the number of times. If I put my mind to it and engaged my memory, I could probably write an entire book. Niki was that special.
One of the most remarkable things about her was that her talents were not limited to one area. Everything she touched responded to her, even inanimate objects. Yes, I'm well aware of how that sounds, but read what I wrote a moment ago. It's probably a waste of time trying to explain to you.
Niki's true legacy was not her kindness, warmth, generosity or brilliance. Her true legacy was to serve as a beacon for Truth in this Incredible Universe in which we live. When she shined, truth became manifest. I am not speaking figuratively. I am speaking literally. I'll write more about that elsewhere.
Niki didn't have religious discussions. She had reality discussions. Niki didn't suffer fools gladly and often had to take a hand in matters due to the fact that so many could not accept the things that she did. Instead, she would simply State what WAS and what needed to be done – and that was all. She was in every sense a Truthsayer. The rest was left up to the person. More often than not, her breath was wasted.
But for those few who actually listened and accepted (and saw with their own eyes), most are still with us today and thriving. It's not a matter of what they’re doing, it's mostly about what they’re not doing. They are not rationalizing their existence in a hundred different ways. They are living for themselves, not for someone else. They are treating themselves as they deserve to be treated, not what someone else limits them to. They are aware, connected, healthy, successful and loving every precious moment of life.
This is how it’s supposed to be.
Nothing I say here will ever come close to expressing the true wonderment that my beloved instilled in me. All I can do is tell you:
Be aware. Reach out and embrace your world. Nurture it consciously. Love it like your child.
If you choose otherwise, well, as Niki said – Argue for your limitations, and you'll get to keep them..
